Florida law requires different levels of CPA review services depending on the annual receipts of your association. An association with annual receipts higher than $400,000 is required to have an audit. For associations with annual budgets less than $400,000, the audit is optional. Associations with receipts over $200,000 and less than $400,000 must have a CPA review annually. At MC|Bentley, we recommend audit as this allows the Board to demonstrate to the members of the association how effectively and responsibly the Board is about utilizing association fees.
